John 16: Getting from Trouble to Triumph - Mike Stubbs
January 26, 2012 09:46 AM PST
In the world there will be troubles. These important words from Jesus Christ the night before his passion were a warning followed by instruction on how to live triumphantly in this life since the Bible teaches us many will become offended as Bible-timeline progresses. Because many have false expectations about the end times, and Christian life in general, they can be poorly prepared to live overcoming lives in the midst of challenge. Listen to the teaching of Jesus He deemed important enough to share lastly and you will be better equipped to live victorious lives free from false expectations, surprise and offense through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Blood Covenant - Christopher Alam 1/15/12
January 18, 2012 03:57 PM PST
A powerful covenant lifts the recipient into an unmerited position of power, privilege, and prestige. The most powerful covenant is what we have with Jesus Christ through His death and is fully understood in the Lord's Supper when we partake of His flesh and blood. When we identify with this covenant it carries great weight in the spiritual realm which influences and changes the natural realm around us. Listen online as Christopher Alam teaches in the evening service at Victory Fellowhip.
A Debt We Cannot Pay - Christopher Alam 1/15/12
January 18, 2012 11:44 AM PST
Each of us were sovereignly chosen by the will of God - not the will of man or personal merit. Our call is to embrace the revelation of Jesus Christ and to proclaim it. The gospel is the revelation of Jesus Christ. The revelation of Jesus Christ establishes our identity with authority. Those who know this are not religious traditionalists clinging to the past but chosen vessels with reclaimed voices proclaiming what is yet to come.
John 15: Navigating Relationships as a Disciple - Mike Stubbs
January 10, 2012 11:42 AM PST
John 15 is an important chapter that distinguishes what an authentic disciple looks like and how he relates to three key relationships – relationship with Jesus Christ, relationships with other believers, and relationship with the world. This is important information to have because it establishes our identity and gives us an authoritative voice in a world that will believe whatever is popular. God does not identify the believer as part of the world’s populace but as sojourners on a mission for a period of time.
John 14: Blueprint for a Powerful Life - Mike Stubbs
January 04, 2012 03:04 PM PST
If you do not know where you are going, you will lose your way. If you don’t know your Master, you will bow to another. If you do not know the Word, you will be deceived. Peace comes when we know our identity and it results in us being empowered to reclaim our voice. If we grasp this, we can rise up and go from here confidently into this New Year.
Why We Celebrate Christmas
December 30, 2011 07:04 PM PST
The birth of Jesus Christ is unparalleled as the most significant event in human history. Many have tried to discredit it, deny it, or minimize it, but the effects of it continue to spread worldwide in the redemption of every man, woman and child who choose to believe and serve the Lordship of the Messiah. Country common sense says, “If it is not broken, don’t fix it.”
John 13: Loving Like Jesus Loved
December 06, 2011 04:11 PM PST
I want to talk to you today about loving like Jesus loved. This is important because we are supposed to be reflections of the love of Jesus Christ. But it’s hard. People and circumstances can make it a real challenge. Let’s look at a few hours of Jesus life and draw some inspiration from it.
John 12: The Word of God Speaks - Mike Stubbs
November 23, 2011 10:35 PM PST
We live in a challenging world. Many believers do not know how to be a witness today. Be encouraged that God's Word has not lost its power. It still speaks into the heart of man. If we will get the truth to the lost, it will do its work every time.
The Gift of Process - Pastor Corey Livingston 11/13/11
November 15, 2011 10:32 AM PST
Life is comprised of processes that God both allows and causes. Through these processes we are given the opportunity to either respond or react to life as it happens. Our decisions help determine outcomes.
John 10: The Good Shepherd - Mike Stubbs
November 01, 2011 12:02 PM PDT
Jesus Christ uses the life of a good shepherd to illustrate His love for believers. Jesus has not only given Himself to us, but he has also given under-shepherds with the same Spirit. As we follow Christ, the heart of the Good Shepherd trickles down and fills our own hearts to reflect the character for which we know Him.
John 9: Choosing to Live Empowered
October 25, 2011 01:36 PM PDT
One of the definitions of "glorify" is "to make a distinction". We are called to glorify God which is, among other things, to make a distinction between Him and Satan, light and darkness, good and evil. God has not only commissioned us with this high purpose in life but has given us the tools to equip us to do what would otherwise be impossible. It is possible when we accept God's empowerment through Jesus Christ.
John 8: Choosing to Make a Difference
October 19, 2011 10:31 PM PDT
This morning we watched The 180 Movie (www.180movie.com). We witnessed individuals who had fixed moral positions make a full 180 degree turn when the truth was presented to them intelligently. Evangelist Bill Bright once said he believed most people would be saved if the gospel was presented to them intelligently. We believe the Word of God is always effective and produces powerful results when it is spoken in faith.
The Five "P's" - Tolbert Livingston
October 14, 2011 12:11 PM PDT
Sometimes believers become lackadaisical in their faith or bound up by legalism. In either case, they often miss getting the very needs met that God has encouraged us to press in for. In this message, Brother Tolbert, leader of "The Huddle" men's group at Victory Fellowship, shares about our need to press in, persevere, pursue, be patient, and realize the walk of faith isn't always pretty.
John 8: Choosing the Truth - Mike Stubbs
October 05, 2011 10:24 PM PDT
Those who do not follow Jesus Christ are called “the world” and do not understand that the reality they are sold-out on as truth is actually a lie. With increasing tenacity they are trying to intimidate Christians into embracing their lies to not appear as primitive, old-fashioned, uncool, or just plain stupid. As Christians, we draw the line by refusing to bow to the current culture’s unbiblical ideologies and conform our entire belief-system to God-realities as revealed in the scriptures.
John 7: Choosing to Resist Evil
September 26, 2011 05:03 PM PDT
The world is trying to crowd in on us with their philosophies, rules, regulations and laws. Many Christians are compromising their Christ-center value system and conforming to what is politically and socially correct. Other’s resist but with a scowl on their face and hatred in their heart. If the entire church does not join together to uphold the entire truth in love, we risk losing the only authority and guaranteed victory we have – the truth of God’s Word.
Getting Out of Your Boat - Reg Larson
September 20, 2011 09:12 PM PDT
In spite of the fear and apprehension one may experience, there is always a call from Christ with his reassurance to get out of the boat and walk on water. When you are willing to step out in faith in Christ in the midst of your storm or circumstance, you will always experience a changed life.
John 6: Choosing to Go Deeper with Jesus
September 11, 2011 09:48 PM PDT
Jesus was unashamed to challenge people to go deeper into Him. He understood their material and physical desires, He understood their religious tendencies, but even more, He understood their spiritual, relational needs. As He taught these truths, some misunderstood Him, others rejected him, while a few embraced Him. For those who choose to embrace Him, He promises more than their minds can imagine.
Entrepreneurial Mindsets for Ministry - Mike Stubbs
September 06, 2011 10:42 AM PDT
The entrepreneur is one who organizes and manages any enterprise with considerable initiative and sometimes considerable risk. Choosing to do the works of Jesus is never a ‘safe’ proposition. There are great challenges and potential problems that can rise large before us. But if you are Christ’s entrepreneur, you will have the tools and resources to do great things.
John 5: Choosing to Cooperate with Change - Mike Stubbs
August 30, 2011 01:29 PM PDT
The first 38 years of this paralytic’s life were marked by human misery. He did the same thing over and over hoping the next day would be better than the day before. Then Jesus arrived as an initiator of change. The grace for change is always unmerited, unmanipulated, and unmandated by us. It is the goodness of God we respond to cooperate with.
John 4: Choose Your Author - Mike Stubbs
August 23, 2011 02:38 PM PDT
The woman at the well had gotten off to a pretty rough start in life. She was born a challenging race, was living in a chain of failed relationships, and could pretty much only count on herself at this point in life. She was a religious woman, but her religion was misguided until truth was revealed. How we respond to truth is everything. Truth can set us free and change the storyline.
Four Keys to the Early Church - Jannie Stubbs
August 17, 2011 09:02 PM PDT
Many have gone to great lengths to find out what it was that caused the early church to launch so powerfully. Radically simple truth is found within the first two chapters of the Book of Acts. When these four elements are in place, things begin to happen in the church. The key to finding these truths is to search for the obvious and to keep it simple.
John 3: Starting Over - Mike Stubbs, 8/7/11
August 08, 2011 10:41 PM PDT
Nicodemus was the best Israel had to offer. He was an astute religious scholar. He was a Pharisee who lived for personal perfection. He was one of 70 Sanhedrin – the Jewish ruling council. He was absolutely committed to God. But Jesus said he was not going to make it into heaven. Today we are going to find out what it takes to get a really good person into heaven. It’ll work for bad people, too.
John 2: Water to Wine
August 04, 2011 10:50 PM PDT
Jesus saved the day. It sounds so cliché but it’s true. At the wedding in Cana a crisis had developed which could have spoiled the festivities. What Jesus did next reminds us that what He offers us is far superior and that if we will wait upon the Lord, we will experience joy, refreshing, and celebration.
John 1: Preparing the Way for Jesus - Mike Stubbs, July 24, 2011
July 26, 2011 03:28 PM PDT
John the Baptist is a key Old Testament prophet in the Bible. His life and ministry is described in the New Testament gospels. Yet his life was short, his ministry brief, and he faded into obscurity in the light of Jesus Christ who came after him. In spite of all of this, Jesus Christ called him one of the greatest in the kingdom. How do you see yourself?
John 1:1-18: Genesis For Gentiles - Mike Stubbs
July 17, 2011 11:28 PM PDT
The Apostle John wrote the Gospel of John to a universal audience. The first chapter can be referred to as the kerygma of the scriptures – the original gospel preached by the apostles. It is probably the most published book of the Bible and gives a sound message for those with little or no background in the Christian faith or its Hebrew roots. It reveals a fuller understanding of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ to lead its readers to a settled faith based on the words and works of Jesus Christ that they may find salvation in His name.
How Badly Do You Want It? - Corey Livingston July 10 2011
July 17, 2011 10:08 PM PDT
Listen to the powerful testimony of Corey Livingston about how he journeyed from spiritual dryness to renewal through caring for his body, emotions, and spirit. You'll leave this message encouraged to take the small steps necessary to initiate change in your life.
Hebrews 12 & 13: Acceptable Worship - Michael Stubbs
July 06, 2011 12:23 PM PDT
Those with a temporal perspective are in danger of selling out to the present while disregarding the future. If the Israelites shook in fear at the awesomeness of the thundering presence of God at Mt. Sinai, how should we choose to live in light of the final glorious display of God’s power that will cause the natural to be consumed by the supernatural and form a new, eternal reality? When we view life – past, present, and future – from the perspective of eternalism, our worship spills out of the church into our everyday life becoming authentic and pleasing to God.
Strengthen Your Weary Heart - Jannie Stubbs, June 26, 2011
June 28, 2011 09:30 PM PDT
Hebrews 12 teaches us that to strengthen our weary hearts we must live lives fueled by faith. We can do this by staying connected to the body of Christ, focusing on the right things, and keeping our hearts soft and humble through repentance.
Hebrews 11:17-40: Living By Faith - Michael Stubbs
June 19, 2011 10:35 PM PDT
Faith is the key to victorious living. Faith can resurrect dead dreams. It affects the words we choose to speak from our mouths. And faith can be incorporated into every aspect of our life and endeavors. When we truly walk in faith, it causes us to become attractively optimistic about life.
Season of Advance and Divine Exchange - Janie Horst
June 09, 2011 12:32 PM PDT
The time between Passover and Pentecost is a transition time. It is an important period of growth and introspection. It is the time to review the revelation from the past season, how God supplied, and how we should operate for His supply in the coming season.
Hebrews 11:6-15: Trusting God When It Hurts - Mike Stubbs
May 17, 2011 01:33 PM PDT
Jesus told us in His Word that life will be full of challenges. We can be tempted to reinterpret or re-evaluate the promises of God instead of holding fast for the fulfillment. Optimism is a statement of faith that shouts our confidence. It is the secret of those who are faithful even when it hurts.
Hebrews 11: What Will You Be Remembered For?
May 11, 2011 09:41 PM PDT
Each of us will depart this life one day. What our life speaks now is important. But our life will continue to speak past the grave. The question is whether our life reminisced after our death will create wholeness or create further pain. By God's redeeming power it is never too late to change our legacy.
Christian Freedom vs Christian Responsibility
May 05, 2011 04:05 PM PDT
In this message, Rev. Jannie Stubbs, draws heavily from the teachings of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians to help us understand the context of scriptures often used outside of context. She expresses clearly the difference between Christian freedom and Christian responsibility, and how our actions and decisions either reflect Christ or our self-defeating tendencies as believers.
Easter Message: The Power of Life - Mike Stubbs
April 26, 2011 09:55 AM PDT
The power of light to make us feel more secure is incredible though not completely logical. You would think you would feel safer if you could not see, but people tend to feel safer when they can see, even if just a little bit. The smallest nightlight can settle a child. The most distant beacon can orient a seafarer. The slightest illumination can guide a seeker into all truth. Spiritual darkness can be even more ominous than metaphysical darkness. Such was the darkness around 2700 years ago when a mystic named Isaiah stood before the people of Israel and prophesied of the light of Christ that would pierce the darkness.
Hebrews 11: Faith and the Life of the Believer - Mike Stubbs, April 17, 2011
April 19, 2011 11:14 AM PDT
Hebrews 11 describes the life of faith as lived out by believers. The achievements of Bible heroes were by faith. Faith involves confidence in the unseen. It is expressed in action. The result is approval, commendation, and reward. Many who live today will be recorded in eternity as heroes of the faith just as those of old. In this lesson we talk about how faith plays out in the believer's life.
God's Perfect System - Lori Blake, April 10, 2011
April 12, 2011 07:10 PM PDT
When we wander through a spiritual wilderness, three primary tests take place: the test of allegiance, the test of identity, and the test of intimacy. Look at some of the examples in the Bible with Rev. Lori Blake as she also explains God's GPS, which will guide you to the right path every time if you trust Him.
Hebrews 10: Freedom to Live Righteously - Mike Stubbs, April 3, 2011
April 10, 2011 04:27 PM PDT
Jesus Christ had done everything necessary to give you an unobstructed relationship with God. Now we can focus on hearing His voice and doing His will. His grace extended to us is not a license to sin, but liberty to live righteously.
God is Out of the Box - Reg Larson
March 31, 2011 06:31 PM PDT
Our perceptions affect our expectations. Perceptions can be shaped by many things. When the Word of God shapes our perception of God, our expectations rise and we begin to recognize God as much better than we can think, ask, dream, or imagine. In Jesus, the best is yet to come! This message was shared by Rev. Reg Larson on March 28, 2011.
Hebrews 9: God's Answer for the Guilty Conscience.
March 25, 2011 06:54 PM PDT
Many Christians embrace forgiveness from Jesus Christ yet live bound by a guilty conscience. What the Old Covenant failed to do, the New Covenant performs to perfection. We live under a covenant that offers forgiveness and complete purification from a guilty conscience when embraced by faith. With this kind of faith we can live in joyous anticipation of Christ's return instead of fearful expectation.
Hebrews 8: Better Promises for Better Outcomes
March 16, 2011 10:38 PM PDT
We have a new High Priest of a New Covenant after the Priestly Order of Melchizedek – with no beginning and no end. This High Priest, Jesus Christ is as superior to the old priesthood as His New Covenant is superior to the Old Covenant. Today we will learn why New Covenant promises are better.
Hebrews 7: Does Jesus Christ Still Receive the Tithe?
March 06, 2011 07:59 PM PST
Abraham took a great risk by going to battle but it paid off with an extremely large amount of spoil. In essence, he gambled everything and came out the winner. But instead of reveling in his spoil, he went directly to the High Priest and gave a tenth of everything. But this is where it gets strange – it says he got more blessed in return. This priest, Melchizedek, is called “one who has no beginning and no end” like Jesus Christ who is the Alpha and the Omega. Jesus Christ is a Priest after the Order of Melchizedek, receiving tithes yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 6: Spiritual Maturity
March 01, 2011 12:17 PM PST
Through faith and patience we inherit the promises of God. But many are focused on current circumstances, grumble instead of believe, and even disqualify themselves for the reward. Taking responsibility for our failures can lead to godly sorrow which produces repentance. When we set our eyes on the goal, we can endure the temporary setbacks of the moment - confident of the outcome. Your greatest setback becomes only a setup for a comeback.
Being Active in the Kingdom - Tolbert Livingston
February 20, 2011 07:29 PM PST
Kings and priest in the kingdom are called to execute the will of God. This means we have to embrace what the Word of God says about us and act like we believe it. Those who embrace their relational position in the Lord Jesus Christ become active in the kingdom and do great exploits for God.
Hebrews 5: Jesus our Ultimate High Priest
February 13, 2011 02:57 PM PST
Many holy men are spoken of well in the world. But only one qualifies to be the High Priest of the Christian faith. Any other is an imposter and fraud. Jesus Christ met the qualifications, and more, of a perfect high priest. The Bible characterizes His followers as a holy priesthood as well. Accepting our calling requires we live up to what God has called us to be. It takes a lot of courage to become who we were created to be.
Hebrews 4: Living in Jesus' Rest
February 07, 2011 04:46 PM PST
God’s promises cover all contingencies in our life so that we can stop the “what if’s” and simply rest in his loving arms knowing that our Savior Jesus Christ has everything under control. We are not to worry and try to find our own solutions like those who never inherited God’s promises after the wilderness; we are to concentrate on God’s voice and obeying. Let’s not be distracted from the central issue in Christian experience—listening for and obeying God as He speaks to us daily.
Dealing with an Unforgiving Spirit - Sam Resendez
February 04, 2011 08:19 PM PST
Pastor Sam Resendez shares how unforgiveness took root in his life at an early age and almost destroyed his life, family, and ministry in the years to come until such a time that an encounter with God set him free. This classic message is a must for those desiring to understand the root causes of unforgiveness, its symptoms and fruit, and how to be set free. Sam's transparency and anointing gripped the congregation and will be remembered as one of the finest messages spoken here.
Hebrews 3: Living in Jesus' Embrace
January 25, 2011 11:07 AM PST
Hebrew religion, society, and family revolved around the Law of Moses. After finding new life in Jesus Christ and the fullness of the Holy Spirit, many Jews eventually started drifting back to old self-defeating tendencies. Christians can find themselves regressing, suffering spiritual decline and devilish onslaught. This message encourages us to live triumphantly within Jesus' embrace.
Hebrews 2: The Forerunner Christ
January 14, 2011 09:39 PM PST
Hebrews chapter 2 opens with a warning to those who have begun to neglect the truth. Many today would never neglect their car, their children, their education, or their career, but neglect Christ and their faith. The warning of danger ahead, in this case, is not for those who reject the faith, but those who neglect the faith. We need to remember that the supreme Christ has experienced all we have, gone before us to prepare a place for us, and will come again to take us to where He is. In the meantime, He has taken out our number one enemy to enduring to the end and making it safely to the other side – fear.
Hebrews 1: The Supreme Intimate Christ
January 05, 2011 04:07 PM PST
The Letter to the Hebrews is an important theological discourse bridging Old Testament doctrine to the New Testament truth. The letter speaks to those of a traditional Hebrew understanding of God. It focuses on the supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus Christ. In the past God spoke through intermediaries – patriarchs, prophets and even angels – but now speaks through His Son, Jesus Christ. In a culture where patriarchs, prophets, and even angels were exalted, it was important for them to understand the supremacy of Jesus Christ.
Practical Love in Action - Michael Stubbs, Dec. 19, 2010
December 21, 2010 12:37 PM PST
In Galatians Chapter 6, the Apostle Paul gives us a series of ways we can show our love in practical ways. This is very important teaching for us since He has explained to us that love for God and man is the fulfillment of the Law. Sometimes love is hard and drains us emotionally and physically. Paul wants us to stay strong knowing our reward is coming.
Living in Expectation - Michael Stubbs, Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010
December 14, 2010 03:17 PM PST
The world is full of unfulfilled expectations. Often they create hurt, pain, and discouragement. In Christ, we have a new and living hope imparted to us that creates an attitude of expectation. God promises we will be rewarded if we do not lose hope.
The Parable of the Sower - Michael Stubbs, December 5, 2010
December 09, 2010 11:45 AM PST
When the seed of faith is sown into a person's life, there can be a variety of outcomes. For some it gets snatched up by the enemy, for others it withers because the roots run shallow, for others it is choked out by the love of the things of this life, while for others it finds good soil where the roots of faith can run deep into the character issues of Christ. If you find your seed is in jeopardy, all is not lost. There are solutions.
Living Like Ambassadors - Jeff Travis, November 28, 2010
November 30, 2010 11:36 AM PST
Ambassador is a big word. Yet that is exactly the word the Apostle Paul used to describe the position of believers in relation to our lives in Jesus Christ. Yet, many fail to live up to the power and provision of an ambassador of Christ. In this message, Rev. Jeff Travis reminds us of the power and provision we have access to as we go about our Father's business. It is a call to put all our eggs in God's basket and to ignite and stir up the gift within us. You cannot but feel taller and stronger in Christ after listening to this message.
All-In: Avoiding the Bluff - Mike Stubbs, Nov. 21, 2010
November 25, 2010 10:54 PM PST
In this podcast, Pastor Stubbs talks again about poker, where a player is considered to be “All-In” when he/she bets all his/her remaining chips. The all-in player will be eligible for the main pot, and therefore cannot be forced from the hand. Going all in is a common strategy as it shows that you have a strong hand and are willing to risk your seat on it. On the flip side it is also a very common bluffing strategy. Some Christians are all-in, some are bluffing, and some just fold. When you fold, you lay your cards down and stop playing the hand. You are out. You give it up. Today we are going to talk about not bluffing, but being committed to community.

How to be Promoted in the Kingdom of God - Mike Stubbs, November 7, 2010
November 10, 2010 03:36 PM PST
There are many books on leadership and self-promotion. There are many more about revival, prosperity, health, spiritual revelation, etc. But since many of these books center around self, a key to all of God's blessings is often missed all together - humility. A careful study of the Word will show you humility is the key to all the above and more. Listen online to Pastor Mike discuss humility as the key element to success in the Kingdom of God.
The Fruit of the Spirit - Mike Stubbs, Sunday, October 10, 2010
October 14, 2010 09:06 PM PDT
A healthy tree produces fruit. The fruit attracts those of other kinds to it. It is the fruit that attracts them. In the same way, the fruit of the Spirit attracts those not like us because they like it. They know we should have it and despise us when we don’t. The fruit of the tree also holds the seeds that produce other trees to produce fruit. As Christians, it is the fruit of the Holy Spirit that sets the seed in other human hearts that reproduces eternal life. We are created to be trees of life reproducing ourselves in others.
The Gift of Tongues - Mike Stubbs, October 3, 2010
October 03, 2010 08:51 PM PDT
Jesus Christ told the disciples to tarry in Jerusalem to wait for the gift from the Father before they launched forth to fulfill the Great Commission to go into all the world with the Good News. That gift was the baptism in the Holy Spirit. With it came a gift which became prevalent in the New Testament – the gift of tongues. This controversial gift is embraced by over 600 million Pentecostals worldwide with the same endearment that the Apostle Paul embraced it with. So as we imitate the faith of the New Testament, we should also learn what is taught about this gift and embrace it with all its benefits.
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit - Mike Stubbs, Sunday, September 26, 2010
September 30, 2010 09:36 PM PDT
When I first came to Victory Fellowship, I noticed a marked difference in the believers that I had not experienced in other churches. As I attended, I heard more and more about the baptism in the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. The Lord began to draw me to seek this gift that promised more strength as a believer, and quite frankly, I wanted to experience speaking in tongues because I saw it in the Bible. I realized, as I read the Bible without any background in teaching for or against the baptism in the Holy Spirit, I wanted to experience what Christians in the Bible experienced. That is why the Holy Spirit has moved so freely in restricted nations. Those who did not have teaching from Westerners on “how they should believe” just imitated the Bible. I wanted to be an imitator of Bible characters.
The Person of the Holy Spirit - Mike Stubbs
September 20, 2010 04:27 PM PDT
I didn’t grow up in the church. I certainly had experienced some aspect of church as I attended irregularly in various placed. But, two weeks before I turned twenty years of age, I stepped into what would become my home church for the rest of my life. The first Sunday present, I experienced the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. He surprised me, He filled me with wonder, He created a hunger inside of me, He scared me a little bit, yet He intrigued me and drew me, and ultimately He filled my life. He chose me and I, a month or so later, chose Him back. When we talk about Him, we are talking about a part of God. Then began the journey of getting to know and experience Him.
Galatians Chapter 5: Free to Live the Holy Spirit's Way
September 06, 2010 02:09 PM PDT
Paul teaches the Galatians they have been set free from the curse of the Law by Jesus Christ who intended they stay free. If we turn back to the Law, we cut ourselves off from Christ’s resources for abundant living and come back under the domination of the sinful nature. When we live by, walk by, and are led by the Spirit of God, it is expressed in the Spirit’s personality replacing our human sinful compulsions with Spirit-filled behavior. A disciple must learn to respond to and walk in step with the Holy Spirit. This message was delivered by Pastor Mike on Sunday, September 5th, 2010.
Will You Be On Time - Rev. Janie Horst
August 31, 2010 11:21 AM PDT
In the midst of ordinary time (kronos), extra-ordinary time (kairos) happens. The kairos moments are those opportune moments of undetermined length where a divine intersection takes place in our lives. Ordinary people experience a divine moment that awakens them to purpose and destiny. Listen to Pastor Janie Horst explain how to position our hearts by fully committing ourselves to what God is doing in these opportune moments in history.
Psalm 23 - Corey Livingston
August 24, 2010 02:28 PM PDT
Psalm 23 is one of the most read and beloved of all the Psalms. It is rich with insight to strengthen our trust and confidence in God. Listen to Corey Livingston as he shares may insights on the shepherd, the sheep, and their relationship together. It will encourage your walk with the Lord.
Galatians Chapter 4: Allowing God to Work

Paul appealed to the head and the heart of the Galatians who had gotten off track in their faith-based relationship with God. He carefully explained to them the difference between being a child in “trust” with a “trustee” and one who has matured and enjoys the privilege of being the full heir of all things. He shows us that we are full heirs of all the blessings of God and should let it be reflected in our thoughts and our decisions. The difference is a life controlled by the decisions of the flesh and a life controlled by the decisions of the Holy Spirit. One leads to corruption and the other leads to life.
Galatians Chapter 3: Don't Change Horses Midstream!
August 03, 2010 09:49 PM PDT
A major portion of Galatians is a severe critique of looking to the Law for help in living the Christian life. The Galatians foolishly listened to false teachers and turned from faith to legalistic performance standards to measure their spirituality and growth. What they didn’t realize was that what they were doing was bringing themselves out from under God’s blessing into a curse. Paul explains that before the Law was even established, Abraham was justified by faith, and the Law, which was established because of man’s sinfulness, never nullified God’s original promise. Paul exhorts us that, Jew or Gentile, there is no favoritism with God and each person will be saved, live, and mature by faith through grace. The Christian life is from beginning to end by faith. Don’t change horses midstream!
Galatians Chapter 2: A Healthy Approach to the Grace Message - Michael Stubbs
July 19, 2010 08:15 PM PDT
The Apostle Paul had received the revelation of the gospel of grace for all people equally. This is the gospel he preached with dramatic results among the Gentiles. But he also went to great lengths to try to keep the peace between him and the Jewish believers. Although outward forms and methods may differ, they resolved it was the same gospel being preached and agreed upon the message and strategy. Yet Peter proved the message from your mouth must be true in your heart as well. Paul was willing to stand up against even the chief of the apostles – Peter – in defense of this message. We are also called to stand for truth instead of allowing peer pressure to cause us to water down the message. The truth of the gospel of grace must be true to the Word of God and our hearts must be true to the message.
Galatians Chapter 1: One True Gospel - Michael Stubbs
July 19, 2010 07:36 PM PDT
The gospel was spreading like wildfire. Paul’s message of grace was being quickly embraced by the Gentiles. Paul came to understand this message from the Old Testament scriptures by the revelation of God – he received revelation of it to him during the three years he got away after he was saved and diligently studying Old Testament scripture. His revelational gospel message was seeing such great results that those who didn’t share his revelation or authority felt it easier to tear down Paul’s character and message than to measure up to the revelation he had received. They began trying to lead the Galatian Christians back into legalistic bondage by preaching justification by circumcision and works of the Law. They were having enough impact that Paul found it necessary to sit down and pen a doctrinal essay in the form of a letter to be distributed to all the churches in Galatia. Paul countered error with the truth. The message was signed, sealed, and delivered.
Romans Chapter 16: Building Your Community of Love
July 10, 2010 10:29 PM PDT
Why did Paul include such a lengthy list of greetings at the end of such an important doctrinal letter to the church at Rome? Simply put – Paul believed and practiced what he preached about “righteousness by faith” through Christ that made us all equal brothers and sisters in Christ. He loved a diverse group of people: men and women, Greeks and Jews, simple folk and officials, poor and rich, city and country folk – all bound together by the bonds of Christ-centered love. This challenges us to open our eyes and recognize all the love and goodness we are surrounded with.
Romans Chapter 15: Being Significant Now
July 02, 2010 08:29 PM PDT
After spending so much time in Romans explaining our liberty from the Law through Christ Jesus, it would almost seem that we are being left in Romans 14 and 15 subjected to a life of “putting up” with believers who are weak in the faith and bound up by not-so-scriptural personal convictions and legalism. But the Apostle Paul, who identifies himself as one the “strong” in the faith, encourages us to consider a different perspective – one that leads to greater unity and glorification of God. The words “spirit of unity” mean “to think the same”. The weak will always bend toward the strong. Even if you are not exercising your full liberty of faith to help those weaker in faith, they are being built up with you and are gaining more liberty just being around you. Just loving people now can produce wonderful results.
Romans 14: Harmony among Christian Communities
June 22, 2010 02:16 PM PDT
Pastor Mike Stubbs explains the Apostle Paul continues his letter to the Romans in chapter 14, not addressing how we should behave in society, but by explaining how believers should conduct themselves among different communities of believers – like one church to another church. This is a very important part of Christian doctrine because Jesus Christ said that everyone will know that we are His disciples if we love one another. Our love expressed within the community of believers can be one of our greatest witnesses to the world. If we express dislike or distain for one another, we are no longer the attractive community the lost are drawn to. To love one another among the communities of believers, there are two attitudes that must stand out – acceptance of one another and responsibility for one another.
Romans 13: Christian Conduct as a Witness in the World
June 20, 2010 07:24 PM PDT
Living the life of God puts us into direct contact with other believers, the church, the secular state, and fellow human beings. God gives us principles to use for each. Obeying the law does not mean we must agree with it or not strive to institute change any more than disagreeing with the law gives us liberty to disobey it. Only where secular law violates God’s higher law are we compelled to civil disobedience – always in the spirit of love. If we practice God’s highest law of loving Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves – extending to them the same level of privilege and grace we extend to ourselves – we will find life much simpler and something the lost can be attracted to.
Living the Nevertheless Life - Reg Larson

We face many challenges as believers. Our faith can be shaken. Things didn't turn our as planned. Our questions may seem to go unanswered. Our reward may seem far off. But there is a word that is a stronghold of faith, confidence and victorious living. The word is "nevertheless" - the final arguement that brings the devil to nothing. Listen to Rev. Reg Larson share with you and inspire you to commit to the "nevertheless" life.
Romans 12: The Heart Attitude of the Believer
May 18, 2010 07:43 PM PDT
Paul had described God’s gift of righteousness to humankind. He had shown that God’s righteousness is both legal and dynamic (providing an inner power which leads to the transformation of the believer from within). Now Paul goes on to make yet another vital point. Those individuals who have received the gift of God are to band together in community. In the community of those who believe, fresh aspects of God’s goodness and His beauty will be expressed. In this vital chapter of Romans, Paul describes the attitudes and the actions which bond believers together in love, and which create a relational climate in which maximum personal spiritual growth can take place. Romans chapter 12 is essential if you are to feel and experience being a part of your Christian community you fellowship in.
